Farzad Varahramyan, one of the concept artists who worked on Dan Trachtenberg's Predator: Badlands has shared some early Kalisk design explorations he provided during the film's production. We've added them all to the Badlands Concept Art gallery here, but as you can see by the previews below – early designs for the Kalisk gave the beast a very different aesthetic. Farzad's unused designs gave the Kalisk a dinosaur-like bi-pedal appearance, with an enlarged head reassembling that of a Star Wars Rancor. Some designs featured feathers even! Check them out:





The Kalisk was certainly a bizarre specimen, but she won the hearts of audiences by the end of the film.
