Genna is the official name for the Death Planet featured in Dan Trachtenberg's Predator: Badlands (2025) movie. It is a hostile alien world surrounded by orbital debris and is home to some of the most deadly species of alien lifeforms in the known universe. In Badlands, Dek – the film's protagonist Yautja finds himself crash-landing on Genna after his ship is struck by the orbiting debris field. Once on Genna, Dek comes into contact with a number of hostile alien creatures and flora.
When was Genna formed?
According to Thia's account - the planet Genna was formed 64 billion cycles ago, when a neighbouring red dwarf star collapsed.
Weyland-Yutani arrived on Genna 2 years before Dek crash-landed on the planet's surface.
Creatures on Genna
The planet Genna hosts a variety of alien organisms, including the monstrous Kalisk – an unkillable beast. Other creatures include a carnivorous trees and other vegetation, winged Dinosaur-like creatures, giant worms and massive, multi-limbed monsters which swing from trees. Everything on Genna is designed to kill.
In Badlands, Thia contains an extensive database of all creatures on the planet. The ones she's named are: The Kalisk, Bone Bison and Luna Bug.
Weyland-Yutani's Interest
The Weyland-Yutani Corporation have a unique interest on Genna and have sent a detachment of advanced Synthetics on a mission to capture and retrieve the Kalisk for research.
Are there Xenomorphs on Genna?
While Predator: Badlands does connect to the Alien universe and officially share the same timeline, Dan Trachtenberg confirmed there are no Xenomorphs in Badlands – however that's not to say Xenomorphs aren't on Genna. Rumors have suggested a post-credit scene features a quick teaser of a Xenomorph fighting a Predator, but those claims remain unsubstantiated.
As far as we know for now, there are no Xenomorphs on Genna.
