Shane Black's Predator remains one of the most intriguing science fiction sequels, although plot details remain thin. However according to The HollyWood Reporter, Benicio Del Toro is in talks to join the movie in an unspecified role. According to The Hollywood Reporter:
"The actor and the studio have been dancing for months around this project but one challenge has been been De Toro's schedule. But that stumbling block looks to have been cleared and a February 2017 start date is being planned."
No indication of what this role may be was given, however this casting is very encouraging news. Del Toro has had experience in both science fiction and horror, having starred in both The Wolfman, as well as Guardians of the Galaxy.
20th Century Fox, Executive Producer Bill Bannerman and Producer John Davis will release Shane Black's The Predator February 9th, 2018.
