The 2026 Saturn Awards ceremony has come to pass and both of Dan Trachtenberg's latest Predator entires walked away with a trophy! Trachtenberg's Predator anime Killer of Killers claimed a trophy for Best Animated Television Series or Event and Elle Fanning's portrayal of both Thia and Tessa in Predator: Badlands won her a well-deserved trophy for Best Actress in a Film!

There were a number of other high profile sci-fi blockbusters in the running for a number of other titles Badlands was also nominated for including Best Science Fiction Film and Best Film Costume Design, but those trophies were claimed by the likes of James Cameron's Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Considering how niche the Predator film franchise is and considering the magnitude of competition it faced on the science fiction front last year, these wins are a major achievement. Congratulations to Dan Trachtenberg, Elle Fanning, Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, 20th Century Studios and everyone who was involved with both of the last 2 projects!
Predator: Killer of Killers was an animated anthology-style film series created by Dan Trachtenberg in 2025 which explored Yautja influence and battles in various time periods throughout Human history. The films ranked extremely high among fans and critics alike, marking it the first Predator anime ever created and one of the most popular entires in the franchise so far.
