Official Predator: Killer of Killers concept artwork reveals a crazy, unused design for the Feudal Japan variant of Yautja the Ninjas faced in Dan Trachtenberg's anime movie! Adding to the hype of Predator: Badlands having arrived in theaters today - we are excited to exclusively unveil another piece of Killer of Killers concept artwork from Dane Hallett (who also worked on Badlands)!
This alternative variant is one we personally find most interesting. Like the previous Hulk Predator and Viking Predator Dane created for the Predator anime, this one draws inspiration from unique sources to give the Yautja some fascinating new characteristics. Inspired by a snake and a Tasmanian Tiger, this Yautja would have had an elongated jaw, with a set of mandibles which would dislocate and hinge back on themselves when opened. The mandibles would also sport subtle barbed teeth, like that of a Python! Paired with a slender build, you can see just how scary this version of Yautja would have been.
Japan / Serpentine Yautja

While this concept inevitably went unused, the ideas it provokes should most definitely be considered for a future Predator movie in our opinion. The Yautja have always been ugly but their faces haven't always been the most terrifying. Having a Yautja - standing with a tall, slender silhouette in a dark hallway - glowing eyes, to reveal hinged-Mandibles and an elongated jaw would literally send chills down our spines (before it gets ripped out). This Serpent Yautja needs to make an appearance at some point - don't you agree?
We want to give Dane Hallett another big thank you for letting us unveil these unused designs he created for Killer of Killers! Make sure to follow Dane on Instagram and like his Facebook page if you're on those platforms and check out his official website for more of his work.
Predator: Killer of Killers was an animated anthology-style film series created by Dan Trachtenberg in 2025 which explored Yautja influence and battles in various time periods throughout Human history. The films ranked extremely high among fans and critics alike, marking it the first Predator anime ever created and one of the most popular entires in the franchise so far.
