A Big Negative.... so far... the Crashing of the Ship.... i sure HOPE! the Kid playing with the Beacon Thingy does not cause the Crash (like its some kind of Remote Control) that would be LAME!
The ship's movements seemed to match the kid's movements. Hopefully it is only clever editing to mislead us into thinking it is that simple.
A movie about the Engineering as well could make better both the franchise if Also Predator 4 will suck.
Well Anyway if also Predator 4 would not sell well at this point Disney can make a movie of Alien that kill a predator or viceversa just for make more audience.
Regarding Names for AC Sequels..
I have broad strokes ideas for TWO Sequels.... which Tie into Alien, and mine are Alien: Ascension and then Alien: Absolution where the Titles FIT the Plot of each more Directly than even Prometheus Name did with its Plot.
First deals with the Resurrection of David and his Ascension to Power, and the kind of World he helps to create... where he is portrayed as a Cult Figure, imposing a Covenant with the Covenant Crew to Start a New World... and so followed themes of Moses to King David, where the Xenomorph was kept in the Dark and only used as a Punishment to Wayward Humans.
The Second Title follows the first where Engineers Hierarchy are involved in the Final Act of Ascension as well as WY Company, and Absolution follows David seeing the Corruption of Mankind, and seemingly making a deal with those above the Engineers to save himself and his Love Interest (Synthetic Construct) but then having these beings Break the Deal with David... Sacrifice his Love Interest and these beings use her to Evolve Davids Xenomorph to the Bio-Mechanical Beasts..... David then Redeems himself and realizes these Beings and Engineers need Eradicating and also that their Bio-Weapons and Davids Creation CAN-NOT be set Free/Unleashed on the Galaxy.... and his Actions lead to the Space Jockey (But nope he is not the Space Jockey).
I heard that interview, where he also seemed to be a bit confused, it appears other comments that Alien Awakening would be a Sequel to Alien Covenant.... But in that one interview he did say it would go, Prometheus, Awakening and Covenant... which sparked people to think that Awakening is set prior to Covenant.
A Plot Name of Awakening does fit more with a movie prior to Covenant if it covered what David did to obtain those EGGS... why even Covenant could have had the name Awakening as Awakening fits the Plot more than Alien Covenant does...
But his main comments suggest the next movie would be a sequel to Alien Covenant.... this HOWEVER does not mean Alien Awakening would be the name of said sequel. But i think indeed this was the Term for the Sequel.... a Sequel that RS claims would not be much about the Alien and more about AI and that likely need a extra movie after to tie into ALIEN and so Alien Awakening would seem a strange name choice...
Regarding The Predator... if it does ok and it makes a good return and the Plot is not to bad or good, then Potentially we could see Sequels.... I think this Movie could Resurrect the Predator Franchise, but i would not say the Franchise has HIT a Wall in the first place... Predators was not so bad and pleased more than it disappointed.
So Disney/FOX could indeed see potential in more Predator Movies.... Sadly for ALIEN i think FOX/Disney have a lot of issues to consider with where to go NOW.
I really hope not... i think it would be too much of a coincidence and i would like to think they would have a better set of writers than that. Maybe the Military took the Ship out?
As far as the Female Predator.... this one does look less Bulky than the other one in the Trailer, so it could be a Female, but then a few other Predators in the Franchise (inc AVP's) have wore protection across their breast area.
A think to take note of.... which may disappointing those looking for Female Predator Booby Action... Is i DONT recall any Predators we have seen so far in the Franchises having NIPPLES. Male Mammals still have Nipples, even though we (mostly) dont grow Female Milk Producing Breasts.
So the Fact the Male Predators Lack Breasts, could mean Females DO-NOT breast feed Milk.... so for this reason it is possible that is a Female in the Trailer.
So anyone expecting this..... could be disappointed..
As the Predator is kind of Humanoid as in Bi-Pedal we cant assume they Procreate the same, and so who knows maybe there are NO Females at all.
Now that's a codpiece worthy of an 80's heavy metal band !
BigDave depends on the sells of Predator 4. Watching the trailer seems a good Predator movie so in this case is Alien that must bring Predator inside their Franchises to make again better the Franchise.
Also because I don't know if you are aware that from what Ridley Scott said in few interview the sequel of Convenant is not a real sequel but is a prequel so the movie that he is making in the 2019 is a Movie that is going between Prometheus and Convenant.

Bigdave, I think I read that the boy is responsible for lamely crashing the pred ship remotely. Is that a female predator with the breast guard? Looks like it. This looks like its going to be just like AVPR FML.
Really interesting. It looks underwhelming, but if the action scenes with the Predators are as awesome as they look to be here, I think I will enjoy it! I do agree with the majority on this thread (so far) that this seems to have some of the problems that the previous Predator sequels have suffered from

That seems odd and it seemed like the kid activated something ala AVP when the guy picked up that first weapon. BUT- it arrived via delivery. I doubt a Predator would bother with UPS lol. I am satisfied with this and would be ok just waiting for the movie.

Also, I got the impression from AvP that elder Preds have longer dreads. So that could connect them to status/age etc within the clan.
I do think they look cool though. I like how they get tossed around in slo-mo and are adorned with jewellery. A Yautja would look kinda strange without them!
I think that while AVP was a decent Popcorn Flick... the route they took with the Predators visiting and guiding Ancient Mankind Plot, just kind of never suited it... also the Time-Line.
As a Stand-Alone Flick it was decent Popcorn Action... AVPR (No Comment).
So Indeed i would think there is a Market to Revisit the AVP Franchise if its done right and set in the Time-Line of most of the Games/Comics.
I think (depending on how The Predator does) a AVP Reboot may be the best SAFE way for Disney/FOX to introduce us to those Iconic Franchises as i feel the Alien Franchise has hit a SNAG at the moment.
Looking at the Plot.... Predators going around updating their Genetic Gene-pool etc, it does open the Door for Sequels.... but so did Predators but that was not followed up.... But i think both movies are intended to share Canon.

From the Teaser we can SAFELY assume these guys have made their way to a Crashed Predator Ship

I think we are getting a bit of Predator + Predator 2 + add Predators more Action...
So as a Popcorn Flick i think it could be ok.... HOWEVER... its only a Teaser and we dont know how Good/Poor the Plot is and how it executes/pulls it off. And we dont know how Good/Poor the Characters and Acting are.....
I watched AVP Last Night and as a Popcorn Flick it was actually not bad, each time is see it i get the respect for it being a Popcorn Flick.
Each time i watch Aliens it becomes a Popcorn Flick more and more...
I guess in the AGE of the Popcorn Flick it may do well....
Those expecting something like the ORIGINAL Predator will be let down because its HARD to Top that Movie... The same goes for any NEW Alien movies... they just wont compete with the Original.... but they could give us a Aliens Popcorn Flick again.
I am going to go with a OPEN mind with this Movie... just accept its going to be a Action/Popcorn movie and have no HUGE Expectations.
Fairly mundane, uninspiring teaser--But it is just a teaser. Doesn't look bad, just sort of... there. I remain more optimistic than others for the reason Black is directing. We'll see if he was given enough freedom to do something different.

eh rather footage with Peter Keye's son it's obviously going with that E.T./STRANGER THINGS vibe to bring in a newer, less 'Gore' audience. It's a barely passing a just semi ok preview for all this time, but for the love of god, Munn is one "actress" I've never wanted on BIG screen event franchise films... I was tired of her on C-NET!

Why do they wear cammo? On a ship? Presumably in space? If you wear cammo, wouldn't it make sense to cover the entire body including the big tatted guns? Why is there no face cammo? OMFG- I could go on and on about this one screen shot.
Maybe it is like a lion mane. It looks intimidating and distinguished but that's it. The maneless females really call the shots and hunt- they dot "i"s and cross "t"s.
