I re-watched all the Predator films last weekend. Getting keen for this film.

Predators is a good film. I enjoy it more each time I watch it

Great news! There could be some nice directions to go for both franchises.

It was second the Aliens versus Predator book I believe or the third book? Perhaps Dachande mentioned it in the first book.

The only AVP books i read was Prey (1st Book), Hunter Planet (2nd Book, and War (3rd Book)

Your right, which obviously wouldn't be out of character for the yaut'ja seeing as they did join forces with oomans (humans) on several occasions both movie, comic, and novel.

Certainly could be....

It does appear to me that a Human Company/Scientist do also conduct their own Genetic Experiments on a Predator though.

But my response still i feel is what we could be seeing in this movie lol,  "thank you Humans for Breaking me out, i will repay your Deed by Protecting your Species with my Buddies"

in lore (which probably wont remain relevant), its meant to be extremely painfull for the Yautja to get their dreads. cant remember what its made of but I believe it is their hair and they get it put into locks when they hit their form of puberty. they have to remain still and quiet during the whole process for if they scream out they shame themselves. cant remember the source but I do remember reading a novel which went into detail about it all.

I have a feeling we could be seeing a connection between all the Predator Movies...

So they may run with a Plot that after the Predator Encounter from the 1987 Movie... we get the Predators come back to earth in Predator 2.

And maybe they then come back from this point now and again, and take Humans away just as we see in Predators and they then begin to incorporate some Human Traits to their Genetics.  So the New Movie Plot could explain the Super Predators in the last movie they did as being PART of the EXPERIMENTS the Predators conducted on themselves by using DNA of other Species.

This PLOT could expand the Predator Franchise beyond Predators visiting Earth, to actually showing us other Worlds, Races and Predators.... and so maybe like a Ridley Scotts War of the Worlds... only NO Xenomorphs, Androids and Engineers.... But Predators and other Species they encounter in the Galaxy.

Looks good but it does look a bit green. They should make a model of a predator in stealth mode- just a clear model with little electrical charges here and there. Like this but with blue electrical charges.

It looks lika a ninja turtle entangled in a fish net. Not a predator fan.

Why is this guy so green? Is he covered in Predator blood?

It will interesting to see what Toys come out... as i have a feeling we will be seeing more than just ONE Predator....  The Trailer and Set Photos seems to show there are at LEAST TWO

It appears Humans have Captured Classic Predator Tech Before...

But also more Recently the Predator Tech (plus Predators) that feature in this Movie, as the New Style of Mask, shows up being found after a Crash, it appears this Technology is also what the Kid Opens from the Box...  and it appears TWO Predators in the movie have this Same Style of Mask.

So i feel we will AT LEAST see a Predator Toy to Resemble this Type of Predator... but i do think we could see more than ONE kind of Predator.

I like how things are going so far. As long as there is no Davidish dynamic...Actually, it could be a strange Godzilla nod if it goes that way.

Unless this thing is created to Hunt Down Predators/Defense against them, It could even be a Predator Engineered 10 ft Mutha!

Looking at the Clues... i do get the Picture this could Follow either a Plot where the Government has obtained Predator Tech either after the first Movie, or the 2nd or maybe more recent.... and so we could see they are attempting to Re-Engineer Predator Tech!

And so Humans with Predator Tech.

I think we shall see some Captured/Escaped Predators without Predator Weapons using Human Technology/Weapons...

Maybe One Predator Fails to Escape and is subjected to Tests/Experiments that give us a Incredible Hulk Predator etc?

I am not against the idea that humans tried to mess with Predators genetically and accidentally created the 10 foot crusher- serves us right!

Who knows its all speculation at the moment, but with the Genetic Engineering Sub-Plot i would not be surprised if we get a Genetically Engineered Super Predator

The Question is if those who came up with the "10-foot mutha" are really aware of HOW Large 10ft is.   If we look at Mini Me (Verne Troyer) and Dr Evil (Mike Myers) well Myers is only 2.13 X the Height of Troyer.... If Dr Evil was 10ft then Mini Me would be 4ft 8"

But even this sitting Image we can see that Mini Me looks Less than about Half the Height of Dr Evil.

The same applies here Sultan Kosen is  nearly 8ft 3" while Khagendra Thapa Magar is nearly 2ft 3" and so 3.6X Difference, so that if the smaller guy was say 5.5ft Tall then the Taller Guy would be 20ft Tall but the difference here looks like more than the Space Jockey in ALIEN compared to the close up Humans.

So Scale can be hard to judge...

So what i am saying is we could see say a 8.5ft Actual Predator and compared to a Average Human they could be mistaken for being 10ft.  So i am not sure we would see a Actual 10ft Predator but i would not rule out a 8-9ft one.... Bare in Mind Most Predators Stand between 6ft 10" and 7ft 4"

Interesting.  So is the "10-foot mutha" THE PREDATOR, while all these others we've seen over the years are simply underlings or a subspecies?  Hmmm...

But would this be a bit OVERKILL?

Do they know how TALL 10ft is?  Because Ridley Scott seemed to not ;) 

I can only imagine if our Engineers was this True 10ft Scale with LOTR Effects.

Going by Movies alone they all seem the same pretty much...  for me there is not a massive difference in appearance...  The AVP movies did try and portray different Characters for the Predators.

I do like the Original Best, but the AVP Scar and Predators Falconer Predator were also good

Oh god that would be horrible. He would probably have a Mary Sue running around already knowing how Predator technology without even having prior knowledge of predator tech. A Predator not wanting to hunt humans but then gladly betrays his fellow predators and goes on a murder spree. Dreadlock-less Predators. 

Yeah like Paul W S Anderson, JJ Abrams shouldn't allowed to touch another Big Name franchise again!

Still not sure if it is a reboot of sorts, but I agree that we should not get too hyped. We all know what that can lead to. If it is as good as AVP I will be a happy camper.

Agree- if that might be a future plan, I could see it- but now would be too early. At any rate, things sound pretty good, pics look great and the trailer looks interesting.

Yes but I think AvP films will be disregarded in this film. I don't believe anything outside the existing Predator series will be considered canon.

In other words, Alien seems to have painted itself into a corner- and Aliens actors names were even dropped- it seems like there is a hint that they are acknowledging the Alien series. "We want to do with Predator what Alien should have done with its franchise" is the message I am getting.

Ask some questions about why? Why Predators do what they do? At least AVP gave some of those answers.

I think it certainly could HIT the Action Nail on the Head.... The Plot seems interesting.... Fingers Crossed the Execution and Characters and Acting are Good...

I think it will at least be a decent Popcorn Flick and their is a Market for that.... AVP was not bad at all... if the Plot was set in the Future and a Weyland Ship landed on a World with Ancient Pyramids and discovered Predators had been to Earth to collect Humans and Breed us on another Place to use in their Hunting Ritual Temples... then i think AVP would have gone down much better than it did.

I think it will please Predator Franchise Fans... i think/hope some dont try and expect it to MATCH the First Movie as that is such a Classic its hard to Beat..   I do have hopes that this Movie could better Predator 2 however ;)

I think this film has a lot of negative stigma going in, but I expect it will over deliver when it actually hits theaters. I'm remaining positive.
