ignorantGuy It seems that Predator is Wanted Dead or Alive. Probably dead.
I just noticed the triangular laser is from the Predator's POV and the dots are what everyone else sees?

IRaptus Shoot to the heart and you're to blame/ Darling you give love a bad name.
Why is the poster specifically bringing attention to this Yautja's left breast?
@Chris If you consider stockings as body-armor, then yes it might be the case. But then why can heat be seen from the helmet/mask and the from the chest armor?
Also does this picture confirm that the Predators are warm-blooded (in a weird way...)?
My guess is the legs are covered by more armor, masking some heat exposure?
But wait, what generates heat in the left dreadlocks? And why isn't there heat in the legs?
Same! Love this poster haha
If I had to choose anyone from the Predator series for a cameo, it would be Danny Glover. Did you see him get mad at Gene Hackman in The Royal Tenenbaums?
We need Danny Glover in THE PREDATOR.
I think I like Scar. The changes are very subtle. One thing that looks consistent are the eyes- self aware/intelligent. The eyes are very expressive while having a look that keeps one on his toes- but there seems to be a subtle look of wisdom and even a bit of sadness?
They are a great counter to the obvious looking threat of the mouth.
Next to the Xeno, I don't recall a creature as captivating as the Predator.
Personally my favourite unmasked yautja design is City Hunter.
Where Jungle Hunter had a distinctly crab-like appearance and sound, City Hunter was more spider-like. Perhaps it is the larger cranial with colouring not to dissimilar to a wolf spider, and the thinner more fang-like mandibles?
On film City Hunter had some very menacing scenes....and some not so....but when its element it was fearsome design that gave the impression of a seasoned hunter.
LA was definitely not this hunter's first rodeo.
Looks amazing! Great attention to detail. And the eyes look cold and menacing but show intelligence
Mr Glover, are you interested in a cameo shot in the new 2018 Predator movie?
Danny Glover:
The detail is stunning. Hopefully the inner mouth will be more "wet" in the final cut.
IDK why the OP text is dark. Here it is again:
I have read that re shoots were done to make the last scene at night, but there could be more perhaps?
It seems Arny was in proximity to where the re shoots took place in Canada at the time. Wouldn’t a cameo be great?
Word on the street is Danny Glover was offered a cameo slot but he reportedly stated that he “was too old for this sh%t” :D
Is it just me, or did the pred wink at the camera?

Nice one! I've got a resin mask somewhere Ill try and dig it up
Maybe the way to tell male and female is behavioral and not physically observable by human standards?
Also, the apparent lack of breasts may suggest there is no breast feeding and thus no serotonin for offspring?
Well female yaut'ja with breasts would make it easier to identify that they are female, perhaps they have a different role than mammalian breasts?
The Urns in Prometheus had more of a Predator look to the Writing than Engineer Language so who knows
Agree. I imagine only the hardest core of the hard core might notice that.
I like the human sect aspect dk...tough rebellion.
Another possibility playing as a human would be using stealth and the ability to use/create mud and find other ways to mask your heat signature- giving temporary invisibility from the Predator(s). It would also be interesting to use things in the environment to makeshift decoys and traps. Like Alien Isolation, you would need to be judicious since the AI would wise up to your tactics and they would become less effective.
I like this Poster... its kind of saying to me.
The Hunters are now the Hunted.
This is a great find...I hadn't seen it. I'll have to practice my Predator voice. I tried and it did not sound like the voice actor above.
My "What the hell are you?" doesn't sound like a Predator impersonating Arnold...needs work.
Weren't they trying to do that in the 90's before that idiot Paul W S Andersons sold 20th Century Fox his crap script?
I for one would love to see a hard Reboot to AVP. Have it set during the original alien trilogy, on the planet Ryushi and having the human story follow our japanese-decent heroine Machiko Noguchi.
I hated the first AVP movie.
So I hope a AVP reboot should ignore AVP (2004) and its sequel.
@Ingeniero
Thanks, I got the idea by playing tons of western role playing games that have a morality system. KOTOR duology, Mass Effect trilogy, and the Fallout series (except for Fallout 4).
An angry Danny Glover definitely counts as a weapon yes :)
Tenacious D. Glover
I certainly want to see the shrinking net dk mentioned. We got to see that up close on the Predators' ship at the end of Predator 2 (almost the best if not the best film in the franchise).
I want to see Danny Glover get mad again in a Predator movie. That is what I wish to see.
Does that count as "weapons or tech"?
I think its interesting to ponder....
There are other ways to Hybrid Organic Life, and in terms of Sci-Fi it leaves the door open to a number of ways this could be done.. The Predators we have to assume are Ancient and Advanced and so they may have ways to Manipulate Genetics that mankind are currently Hundreds of years behind in achieving the Same.
Prometheus/Alien Covenant introduced us to the GOO which from its Origins (Jon Spaights) was more of a Genetic Manipulation/Hybridization Tool.
To answer if the Predators have obtained the Goo, really depends on IF the aim is to do some kind of Cross-Over with the Alien Franchise.
I think if we get a AVP Reboot, then indeed we could explore more of a connection between Engineers and Predators and maybe the Black Goo.
The Urns in Prometheus had more of a Predator look to the Writing than Engineer Language so who knows ;)
dk, it is my lucky day!
smith102 awarded me with a boilerplate paragraph, pasted in our cherished discussion, that has nothing to do with THE PREDATOR. I don't want to read more things about it!
I like the human sect aspect dk...tough rebellion.
A historical setting would be great (1800s London, American Civil War), as well as, jungle...and I have always liked the slow burn mutation you mention at the end. Yes.
ali81, wonderful idea on capturing humans and using this angle to explain detailed history, weapons, planets. I think this approach you describe is ideal for the content.
I'm about to start Aliens vs. Predator and Alien: Isolation (have the games have yet to buy PS3) and I'll have better recommendations regarding game play hopefully....and I can't wait to be a Predator..recommendations?
Genius Xenotaris...shaming those who dishonor.
I haven't read that one yet sentientdark but there are certainly great examples in comics that would be great on film. I'm partial to Prometheus: Life and Death myself.

Great topic.
I love the teen's hair and his speech to his dad.
Predator: Dark Ages is put together really well...thermal looks great and the head blowing up was theater quality buildup and graphics. Great find BigDave.
If there is an official tie between the Alien and Predator universe, then I imagine the Predators- traveling to othher worlds as they do- would eventually encounter the black goo.
I agree ali81 execution needs to be perfect.
The problem I can foresee is marketing.
The mainstream audience old enough to remember the last 2 will think of it is as a joke...an old one.
The younger audience will see it as 2 old Sci-fi franchise's trying to "copy" the whole Avengers & Justice League crossover's and "super-films" thing. trying to stay relevant.
And the active fanbase of both franchises are so divided and hung up on canon, direction like/dislike we don't know what we want.
Its going to take something incredibly epic, grand and mature to be taken seriously.
I'm not the biggest Fan of The AVP Plot... as it contradicts the Alien Franchise a bit....
I prefer the Engineers Ancient Role, but certainly the AVP movies are to be considered a Alternative Take.. so the whole Pyramids and Predators thing could FIT...
I would if they went this route, have it the Predators maybe Influenced Worlds the Engineers had seeded, and this really Pisses the Engineers off... I think the Predators could tie in a bit with Egyptian and Mayan Mythology.
I still think a AVP Reboot could be on the cards at some point, and i do think the Setting/Timeline of the Dark Horse Comics and Computer Games would be the way to go.
If the new Predator movie is successful enough to the bean counters, I could not see a reason why this could not happen. I have not read the novels but know enough that there is a lot of untapped potential for this series.

BigDave Nice idea. It seems the Engineers would come first to Earth followed by the Predators (in AVP, Predators showed humans how to build pyramids and such). The Engineers don't like that and, as you say, the Engineers retaliate with Xenos. One issue is that in AVP, the Predators fought Xenos as a right of passage and nuked everything if the Xenos got the upper hand. Still, this could be an interesting way to go.
I am not a time line purist- as long as it is a good movie, I am in.
the idea of AVP is awesome but its all about execution. the idea in AVP was good, just not having it be on earth. wouldv been better to have the Yautja abduct humans n have them transported onto a planet far away. n ok everything about AVPR was awful but id like the idea of another attempt at a reboot IF a decent script and director was attached. done right there is a market for it
