One of the better scenes in the film.
I would have preferred that they have kept it at the classic yautja with a proper story.
What I want to know is if Shane Black f$%cked the classic predator so bad that its DNA now needs continuous enhancements.
The Predator earned $10.45 million on Friday, including $2.5m in Thursday previews according to Forbes. So far it seems according to the predictions.
I wonder how many of those who chose to see The Nun this weekend will go for The Predator next week.
daliens i would agree that it is more of a popcorn flick, but it is not as shallow or crude as that.
It is mentioned in several of the films that they like the heat, so I wouldn't say that is the phenotypes they are targeting for adaptation.
They are more interested in the 'next stage of human evolution' in the form of mental aptitude/capacity.....
daliens This time it's a beautiful MF (and not the actor). The mother of the child, who is the only true warrior around according to the big predator, also survives. The big predator comes for the small one however...
"The plot revolves around the Yautja upgrading themselves with DNA to become better adapted to our planet before they move in post-climate warning breakdown of the planet."
So they upgrade themselves with the DNA of humans who would have died off because of climate change with said DNA but the Predators would survive that changed climate with the human DNA. Sound like a sound plan alright.
(Actual that was only a speculation on behalf of the baddy).
Well, I apologize for not knowing Angry Joe.
After reading most reviews it seems to me as a popcorn flick, packed with one liners by ex-soldiers (instead of marines), who are there to help on a bug hunt (or ugly mfs). And there is the gigantic predator who came to Earth for the DNA of an autist child that will make the gigantic predator totally invincible. The kid, his father and the woman are the only survivors . I don't remember if they mention the predator king is dead or he escaped. Probably is dead and more will return for the same specific kid's DNA.
Yeah you want to see it in the cinema! It has that big cinematic entertainment feel of the Avenger, GotG, etc films.
See it big and loud!
Angry Joe spent 20 minutes on a popcorn flick. He acknowledged that there was good character development, it is “worth seeing”, “if you like schlock, you will like this film”. Joe basically bitched about a movie that he also enjoyed.
Based on that, my daughter, IRaptus and trailers, yep, I think it will be pretty good. I might have to crawl out of the cave to see it before the DVD release.
I just saw it myself. It was good. I won't give any spoilers but its definitely an action flick full of comedy.
Keegan-Michael Kay and Thomas Jane were f&$king hilarious.
I was laughing before Keegan delivered the punch lines some of the time.
daliens Don't worry Angry Joe does not like it very much, so it's not the Aliens of the Predator franchise.
How was it, dk?
It this the Aliens of the Predator franchise?
Most of the reviewers agreed the film is sort of a comedy, so probably appealing to some of the Disney audience.

ignorantGuy not only that, but also the hurricane Florence.
I remember some hurricanes when Alien Covenan was released.
These people won't stop at anything.
daliens Yes, there is a conspiracy on IMDB to hit everything related to Aliens and Predators, I know.
The Predator made $2.5 M in the opening night, on Thursday, a little over the $2.2 M made by The Nun now one week after its premiere.
Let's see how it will get over the weekend.
Just avoid the reviews on imdb.
daliens But there already was Engineer vs Predator in the comic books (Engineer vs Alien Queen for that matter). Not a big step to the big screen.
And who needs Dexter (the one with the laboratory) in a Predator movie?
What is the point of introducing the big chicken? Does he cry at soap operas?
The Godzilla Predator will only make waves in China and Japan.
At least when JC made the Alien Queen he tried to explain in his own simple logic how the eggs are made.
Who needs a gigantic Upgrade Predator now?
Is Disney planning a Predator vs. Godzilla we don’t know about yet? Or Predators vs. Engineers / Space Jockeys, to bury for good the Alien franchise.
I liked the first Predator, even the second one. I wish this last film to do good financially, but I don't think I will ever like it.
I am not so sure that beast is cooked. Fingers crossed.
That pic looks like a rooster choking his chicken to me.
I would like to see this 11 foot Predator go toe to toe with an Engineer or a 12 Foot Ninja...
That looks like domestic violence.

It seems that Shane Black managed to cook the predator and instead of an apple in the mouth he serves it with fishnets.
I don't want Arnold, he would only embarrass himself, as does Harrison Ford with his appearences in BR49 and The Force Awakens.
If they will do make a sequel (highly unlikely as it costed 88 mil and the critics reception is poor... audience reception is already rather poor) bring back Olivia Munn, and if you want something wacky hook her up with The one beautiful motherf***er.
Indeed, if the movie does well enough, we might see Dutch in a follow up.
Unfortunately, my local rag gave it a 2/5 today. They did the same for AC. It seems like the only things they will rave about are foreign films with nothing but subtitles the whole time.
It has to have a weakness or it could be a snooze fest. It has to be vulnerable somehow...unless is about our demise that we helped create. That sounds a bit Godzilla though.
Is this building up to a potential AVP reboot... Please retcon that shit AVP (2004), have the setting on Ryushi and have Dachande, Techinde, and Machiko Noguchi appear on the big screen. I hated Scar and Lex for stealing Dachande and Machiko's roles.
It's available on youtube
After the Upgrade Predator kicks Fugitive Predator's ass will tell him: "That's why you have to do yoga!"
Lmao oh no... Now I'm worried too hahaha
But yeah, it's definitely a touchy subject and the excuse really doesn't make up for it. It's good Fox removed his scenes though.
I would worry about the Box Office as the movie has Mr H Reviews seal of approval.
But on the serious note, I'm sorry for the girl and I think Black is offering a lame and opportunistic excuse, as he cast Striegel in Iron Man 3 and Nice Guys after the "man"'s stint in jail.
"exoskeleton that will stop high capacity rifle fire at close range" that surely sounds very useful when your own race uses plasma casters and disk that can easily amputate members...
edit: ok it appears the predator blades break like glass when hitting the armor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1QcElxo8mc .
So they stole a line from Daniels?
Thanks for sharing- still feeling this will be pretty damn great!
Thanks for sharing Nebula - upvoted!
Love the stills as well and the information. I too will be seeing it next week. Can't wait!
I'm going to see the movie next week too Dark Nebula.
Here are stills enhanced a little to bring out the detail from the link you provided above...the 1st is a mystery to me. It looks like the Predator laying down is surrounded by others of his kind.

Good. I bet the Predator's junk is scary to look at too.
Excellent link Wwarez. Thank you.
